A new comedy by Salida native Jay Lobeck, where disguises, secrets, and unexpected twists turn everyone's plans upside down. Inspired by Shakespeare's comedies but written for today's audiences, So It May Seem offers something for Shakespeare fans, comedy lovers, fans of queer stories, and anyone who enjoys a good love story. No Shakespeare expertise required!
This debut staged reading marks the first public presentation of Lobeck's first full-length play and a full-circle return to the community where her love of theater was nurtured at Salida High School. A graduate of Adams State University, Lobeck returns home with a fresh new work that celebrates love, authenticity, and the courage to be yourself.
